What Cupled handles
Cupled processes your name, email address, account identifier, device push token, photos or videos you choose, and the notes, drawings, stickers, emoji, and other canvas content you create. This information is linked to your account only to provide the app.
How it is used
We use this information for authentication, private connection membership, sharing and displaying canvases, widget delivery, notifications, security, abuse prevention, support, and account deletion. Cupled does not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking and does not sell personal information.
Service providers
Clerk provides authentication, Convex provides application data and file storage, Apple provides Sign in with Apple, push notifications, TestFlight, and App Store distribution, and Cloudflare serves this website. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services under their own terms.
Retention and deletion
Active connections keep the newest 50 published canvases. Older content may be removed earlier when media storage reaches product limits. Disconnecting removes the shared connection and its content. You can delete your account inside Cupled; deletion removes profile, connection, canvas, media, device, and stored file data. A one-way SHA-256 deletion marker and timestamps are retained to prevent a deleted identity from being recreated accidentally.
Local widget data
The newest widget snapshot is cached on your device in Cupled’s private App Group so widgets can render without contacting the backend. It is cleared when you sign out, disconnect, or delete your account.
Security and your choices
Access requires authentication and active connection membership. Media downloads are re-authorized for every request. No internet service is risk-free, and Cupled does not claim end-to-end encryption. You choose which content to share and can revoke access by disconnecting or deleting your account.
Children
Cupled is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us through the beta feedback channel below.
